Taylor Falk

bioinformaticist ecologist author


Taylor is a competent, experienced, and attentive computational biologist. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Connecticut in 2015, and has been working professionally since. He is currently working at his alma matter, where he has helped develop the TreeGenes forest tree omics database, lead authored a paper on that resources, and helped annotate multiple angiosperm genomes. He is proficient in Unix shell, R, SQL, and Python.

Comparative Transcriptomics Among Four White Pine Species
Helped draft a comparative paper for four North American White Pine species, comparing needle tissue transcriptomics.

Forest Tree Omics Database: TreeGenes
Worked closely with migration large datasets using PostgreSQL, and developed multiple components of the CartograTree mapping and visualization extension.
